Our Mission

CarverMuseumATX Foundation was established in 2022 by community stakeholders invested in the growth, expansion, and preservation of the George Washington Carver Museum and Cultural Center in Austin, Texas. The Foundation's primary mission is to help the Museum build a global brand that sets the standard for the preservation and exhibition of Black history and creative expression. This is accomplished by helping to build the museum's capacity through advocacy, outreach, education, and solicitation of funds to support major programs and infrastructure projects.

Our Vision

The Foundation envisions a world where people of African descent can access ample spaces that cultivate and preserve their artistry and cultural heritage. We accomplished this through robust support of Black creative ecosystems and historic preservation projects vital to the innovation of a fully democratic society. By fostering a platform that nurtures creativity, dialogue, and understanding, we seek to inspire future generations through the transformative power of art.
