Hidden In Plain Sight

Exhibit Summary:

“Hidden in Plain Sight,” is a photographic series that reimagines the ways we relate to Black men's bodies that wage war against normative ideals of masculinity. Through self-portraiture, Adewumi presents the Black male body with intimacy, vulnerability, and tenderness. By emerging as such, he brings attention to those men who are hidden in plain sight, those who are a part of a long lineage of pursuing the formation of new Black manhood.
